What is a Cable Clamp/ Cleat?
Cable clamps (popularly known as cleats) are an essential component when installing cable and recommended in almost every electrical installation. According to IEC 61914:2009, Cable Clamps/ Cleats are “devices designed to provide securing of cables when installed at intervals along the length of the cables”.
In short, these devices ensure retention and support, restrict movement, and provide electro-mechanical resistance.
