Nexans 36-42JTS3 K MV Heat-Shrink Joints (36JTS3 K and 42JTS3 K) are medium voltage heat-shrinkable straight joints. Specifically, they feature a triple-layer tube designed for Armoured Three-Core Polymeric Cables with Copper Wire or Copper Tape Screen. Furthermore, these joints are suitable for applications up to Umax 42kV.

Technical Characteristics & Design
For 36 to 42kV applications, the 36-42JTS3 heat-shrinkable joint offers a new high-performance, compact, and easy-to-install solution. This joint features double bodies with all electrical functions integrated.
Specifically, the JTS 36/42 employs an integrated coextruded “stress control field + insulating” nested within a coextruded “insulating + conductive” tube. Consequently, it can withstand high voltage applications up to 42kV.
Moreover, a double-layer pad with conductive rubber inside and HK orange mastic outside ensures a Faraday cage effect and smooths the impact of the electrical field and voltage gradient in the connector area.
In addition, the kit includes screen connection and armour continuity materials for SWA, STA, and DSTA cables.
Finally, the outer sheath is restored using heavy/medium wall adhesive-lined tubing, while MC types come with “Nexans GPH” mechanical connectors.
