Ellis Patents Triplex Cable Surround
Product overview
Ellis Patents Triplex Cable Surround (also called a Triplex Cable Former) is made from LSF Zero Halogen Polymeric material. It provides reliable support for triplex cables composed of three spirally twisted single cores. This innovative solution allows for flexible cleating at any point along the cable’s length, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications.
Part Numbers: SFT26, SFT31 / SFT2F+31, SFT36 / SFT2F+36, SFT43 / SFT2F+43, SFT51 / SFT2F+51.
*SFT2F+XX part numbers refer to a deeper SFT+ moulding to be used with 2F+ and 2A clamps, see datasheet below for more details.
Ellis Patents Triplex Cable Surround
Designed for Distribution Network Operators, this Triplex Cable Former can also accommodate conventional single-core power cables. Manufactured from LSF Zero Halogen (LSZH) Megalon, it fits within various cleats based on short circuit requirements, ensuring secure installation.
You can use it with several products to create a variety of trefoil cleats, depending on your specific requirements.
This Triplex Cable Former is compatible with 2A Single Way (Aluminium) and 2F Single Way (Non-Metallic) Cable Cleats (36kA RMS), Vulcan+ Trefoil Cleats (49.5kA RMS) and Emperor ES-range Single Way Cleats (74kA RMS):
Key Features & Benefits
-
The Triplex Cable Surround overcomes the twist in the Triplex Cable. This allows you to cleat the cable at any point along its length.
- Adaptor manufactured in a LSF V0 polymer
- Sold separately to the cleats as standard but can be provided assembled inside the cleat on request
- Short-circuit tested in line with EN 50368
