E-Tech Components Announces New Leadership Appointments

E-Tech Components is proud to announce a new chapter in its leadership team structure as part of the company’s continued growth and long-term strategic vision. Effective from 1st October, Paul Forester has been appointed Managing Director, taking on overall responsibility for driving E-Tech’s business strategy and operational growth across all market sectors. Alongside Paul’s appointment, Tom Colledge has been promoted to Commercial Director. Since joining E-Tech in 2022 as Sales Director, Tom has been instrumental in strengthening the company’s commercial direction, building long-term relationships with customers and partners, and driving growth across the Rail, Renewables, Construction, Energy, Data Centres and Utilities sectors.

After more than two decades as Managing Director of E-Tech, Chris Montgomery will continue to play a vital role in the business as Director. As the company’s Founder and a Board Member, he remains an active and influential part of E-Tech’s senior leadership team. He will work closely with Paul and Tom to support their transition into their new roles while continuing to oversee key areas including Sales and Marketing. His leadership, vision and commitment have been instrumental in shaping E-Tech into the trusted, award-winning company it is today.

A Story of Growth, Experience and Leadership

Paul’s appointment represents a full-circle moment in a career deeply rooted in the electrical industry. Cutting his teeth in Prescot – home to the world-renowned BICC cable manufacturing site – Paul’s passion for the industry began early on. His father worked for BICC, and childhood visits to the factory left a lasting impression that would later shape his career.

Having worked for BICC, Paul gained extensive technical and commercial expertise before joining E-Tech Components, where he progressed through multiple roles – from student placement to technical sales, purchasing, accounts and management. His deep understanding of business processes, customer needs and supply chain operations has been integral to E-Tech’s continued success.

Paul also brings a wealth of technical knowledge, having received advanced training from industry experts including contributors to the IEC Crimping Standards. Through his work with Elpress, he has delivered seminars, toolbox talks and customer training sessions around the world, helping clients achieve compliance and excellence in crimping and electrical connection technology.
