KNIPEX 95 18 225 StepCut ® XL VDE Cable Shears are designed for maximum cutting performance with significantly reduced effort. Combining a high-leverage joint, long ergonomic handles, and stepped cutting edges, KNIPEX 9518225 StepCut ® XL cable shears are significantly easier to use than compact alternatives. As VDE Shears, they are equipped with insulated multi-component handles tested to DIN EN/IEC 60900, providing safe operation on live installations up to 1,000V.
Designed for demanding electrical and industrial applications, these StepCut ® XL cable shears feature a dual cutting system. A stepped cutting edge securely holds both small and large cables close to the joint, and a front cutting edge then progressively “nibbles” through larger cable diameters in stages. This allows efficient cutting of solid copper or aluminium cables up to 35 mm², stranded cables up to 70 mm², and fine-stranded cables up to 120 mm². The adjustable bolted joint ensures smooth, precise force transmission, while the pinch guard enhances user safety during operation.
