Prysmian BICON Barr-X Explosion Proof Connector 424AN Series (Marine) is a fast and easy to install connector, tested to UL and CSA standards. Suitable for jacketed marine shipboard cables – category FDLW.
Part Numbers: 424AN-01, 424AN-02, 424AN-03, 424AN-04, 424AN-05, 424AN-06, 424AN-07, 424AN-08, 424AN-09, 424AN-10, 424AN-12, 424AN-15.

Technical Information
- Suitable for jacketed marine shipboard cables – category FDLW.
- Brass construction with bright autocatalytic nickel coated hubs.
Connector listed as follows:
½” to 3 ½” CSA Class I Groups ABCD, Class II Groups EFG, Class III
Type 4X when used with ExaneTM armored and sheathed rig cable
½” and ¾” UL Class I Groups ABCD, Class II Groups EFG
1″ to 3½” UL Class I Groups CD, Class II Groups EFG
- Service temperature range -60°C to +90°C.
- Compound forms barrier around individual cores, so preventing migration of gases through the centre of the cable.
- For use in most climatic conditions, rated to IP66 for wet locations.
- Equivalent European designs available: Approved to European & IECEx standards.
