Ellis Patents Vulcan+ Trefoil Cable Cleats
With a range of sizes available, the Vulcan+ accommodates multiple cable configurations, including quad formation upon request. The low smoke zero halogen (LSOH) liner supports the cables while enhancing safety. Closure fixings made from A4-70 grade stainless steel provide secure attachment to the supporting structure, with options for one or two M10 fixings.

Ellis Vulcan Cable Cleats – Testing Summary
- Designed for permanent applications with a temperature range of -40°C to 60°C
- UV resistant, passing the Xenon Arc Method A test for durability against sunlight exposure
- Constructed from high corrosion-resistant 316L stainless steel, featuring over 16% chromium content
- Impact rated as very heavy, ensuring robustness in demanding environments
- Flame propagation tested with an application time of ≥30 seconds, demonstrating excellent fire safety
- Axial load rating of 280N for trefoil formations and 110N for single formations, providing strong support for cable configurations
- Lateral load ratings include 200N for horizontal and 650N for vertical applications, ensuring stability under various conditions
- Short-circuit tested with impressive results: 134kA at 300mm intervals and 115kA at 600mm intervals for trefoil formations (cable OD = Ø36mm)
- Exceptional performance in single formation testing, with a short-circuit rating of 135kA at 300mm intervals (cable OD = Ø36mm; phase spacing = 125mm)
