Electric Power Distribution is the final stage in the delivery of electric power; it carries electricity from the transmission system to individual consumers. Distribution substations connect to the transmission system and lower the transmission voltage with the use of transformers. A Power Distribution Unit (PDU or a “distro box”) is a device with multiple outputs. Designed to safely distribute electricity from the power source to other devices in a circuit.
